Paul Culmsee is an IT professional, facilitator and sense-maker with 21 years experience across a wide variety of IT disciplines. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MOSS 2007), Microsoft Certified Trainer and Certified Information Systems Security Professional. He has also held the Cisco Certified Network Professional certification. Paul is one of only three Cognexus Certified Dialogue Mappers in the world and along with Chris Tomich, is the only practicing Dialogue Mapper in the southern hemisphere to have trained directly under Jeff Conklin of the Cognexus Institute in California. He is a regular international conference speaker in IT and non IT circles and is a sought after trainer and advisor.
Paul has worked as a security analyst, business adviser, dialogue mapper, trainer, infrastructure manager, QA/Product and project manager on a wide variety of IT projects, as well as designing and developing the EZ-Rent property investment tax and cash flow analyser. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from Edith Cowan University. His popular SharePoint blog CleverWorkarounds attracts more than 1 million hits per month and specialises in planning, governance, ROI and project management. He is currently completing his first book on sense-making entitled “The Heretic’s Guide to Best Practices”.
Chris Tomich is an IT professional, facilitator and sense-maker with 8 years experience. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from the University of Western Australia. He is a solution architect, software developer, as well as a practicing dialogue mapper. Along with Paul Culmsee, he is the only Dialogue Mapper in the southern hemisphere to have trained directly under Jeff Conklin of Cognexus Institute in California.
Chris has worked on a variety of different projects, from multimedia applications used in museums to medical software for use by doctors of the UK National Health Service. His core areas of expertise are with the .NET Framework and the C# development language. Chris has extensive experience in Windows applications development and development of web sites using the ASP.NET framework and related tools. He is currently studying both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Integrated Human Studies at the University of Western Australia.
Peter Chow is an IT professional with over 15 years experience in solution design and development. He has worked on a variety of IT projects in the mining and telecommunications industries. These projects range from data acquisition systems in industrial environments to document management systems in enterprise environments.
Peter’s areas of expertise include development using the languages: C#, Visual Basic and C++, and development with the relational databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Access and Oracle. Having worked for OSISoft, he also has extensive experience with OSISoft’s PI system. Peter has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Western Australia.
